National Card Making Day

If you are here, you are interested in joining us, join millions all around the world, to share in the love of card making.While my scrapping is personally rewarding, card making brings me even greater joy as I get to share my craft -on a more intimate level, with someone else-the card recipient.Whether you are an experienced card maker, an occasional card maker, or a scrapper who has never ventured into the card making arena before, let me welcome you on behalf of the entire AC Bailey Design team!We hope you have fun and learn something interesting today - we have designed some challenges and a contest with the hopes that you will learn something new, be entertained, and motivated to create your own special cards. So,....let's get started!There is a special folder in the gallery to upload all your card images to. It is called World Card Making Day 2009.When you click on this you will see CATEGORIES (to the left) and the challenges 1-7 are listed (backwards no less). Click on the folder for the challenge you completed. Upload your image for the challenge, placing it in the proper folder. Here is your contest - our goal is to get 100 cards posted this weekend into that folder in the gallery! Help us and you could win a prize! Everyone who contributes this weekend will go into the hat once for every card added! The more you make, the more chances you get to win our Grand Prize. But-we also want QUALITY ladies, and NEW cards (not stuff you have shared before), and no card KIT kinda things-original designs please (scrap lifting is okay but you gotta cut/glue all your own papers, etc.). All cards must be posted by midnight Sunday (EST) and if we hit 100 cards sometime sooner, that is OK - keep making cards, cause each card gets one chance in the drawing.Below you will see seven challenges/tutorials prepared for you by the AC Bailey Design Team members. These are here to help you and guide you and in some cases, they may even entertain you! For each challenge/category listed below there is a prize being awarded. So, when you submit your work to the gallery folder please include it in the subfolder for the correct challenge number (1-7).
